About Node
Back in January 2007, patternboy submitted the post below to the Spook Country discussion board in the hopes of creating something like a multi-author blog where other Gibson fans could post stories in the “Spook Country universe” as those who live there.
Just for fun, I registered nodemagazine.com and thought I quickly threw together a logo in need of feedback and a tagline.
Hollis Henry is a journalist, on investigative assignment from a magazine called Node. Node doesn’t exist yet, which is fine, she’s used to that, but it seems to be actively preventing the kind of buzz that magazines normally cultivate before they begin to exist. That would be odd, and even a little scary, if Hollis allowed herself to think about it much, which she can’t afford to do.
At first, even I was a bit unprepared for the barrage of ridicule, outrage and outright venom to follow. Despite all of that, help and encouragement did arrive in multiple forms including the amazing cover art courtesy of Dreaming in Technicolor.

Thanks for helping make Node the magazine that it is not but yet to be.

I would love to hear thoughts. If you would be interested in writing for this online magazine (that can go in any direction we wish), please let me know.
